Contents:

For this week, I was focusing on completing the technical paper in BMI format. The technical paper needs to be done in IEEE format whereby was the requirement for the engineering student. A technical paper, it consists of 6 parts abstract, introduction, materials & methods, results, discussion, and conclusion.

  • The abstract, it should not exceed 100 words and should describe the scope, hypothesis, or rationale for the work and the main findings.
  • For the introduction, this section should include sufficient background information to set the work in context while materials and methods, this should be concise but provide sufficient detail to allow the work to be repeated by others.
  • As a result, it should be presented in a logical sequence in the text, tables, and figures; repetitive presentation of the same data in different forms should be avoided.
  • Moreover, for the discussion, it should consider the results in relation to any hypotheses advanced in the Introduction and place the study in the context of other work.
  • Lastly, the conclusion is the last chapter needs to be written to conclude that either the results are being obtained going to change the world, be a significant “Win”, be a nice hack or simply serve as a road sign indicating that this path is a waste of time.
