WEEK 9: BUILD A PROTOTYPE OF THE PROJECT

Activity: 

  1. Build a prototype of the project.

Objective: 

  1. To build a prototype concept of the Water Trash Collector. 
  2. To construct according to the design plan.

Contents:

For this week I have drawn the 3D design of the prototype of the project on a piece of paper and then I tried to draw the design in Sketchup to look at what the project will look like. After completing the design, I plan to build the prototype by using the PVC pipe, chain, and steel.

Result:

The figure below shows the result of the prototype project design that has been built by me and assisted by my uncle. Previously I have cut the pipe according to the measurements that have been recorded. This installation process took several weeks because it is related to the mechanical part, and I am not good at that field. 


Conclusion:

It can be concluded that from this project, I have learned some new things such as how to weld steel using MIG type welding and how to use a steel cutting machine.
